OTHER VENUES

This delightfully eccentric and unique venue in Market Harborough is a long established jewel (or Joule) on the East Midlands live music scene, hugely popular with both audiences and musicians alike. With quality music, excellent food and a relaxing atmosphere, there is nowhere quite like Joules on a summer's day.

Sadly, early in 2017 it became clear that Joules was no longer viable as a regular music venue and our planned season had to be cancelled. However, the popular 3rd Thursday Harborough Acoustic Sessions are continuing (see panel below) and we will still bring you occasional weekend music events, details of which will be posted as they are booked.

HARBOROUGH ACOUSTIC SESSIONS

Now in its 18th year, the monthly Joules open mic night is generally recognised as one of the best in the region. Running every 3rd Thursday and starting at 8pm, all musicians are very welcome to take part, and if you’d like further details please contact Steve Rothero at s.rothero@ntlworld.com

Joules Yard can be found down the alley by the side of 53-55 High Street, Market Harborough, Leics. LE16 7AF

Top UK Celtic band Govannen are just one of many  superb acts who have performed at Joules.

ROOFTOP ARTS CENTRE

A delightful new venue in the centre of Corby (it used to be the old library) the Arts Centre is primarily an art gallery with workshops, but following on from a successful music and poetry festival in early July, we have been invited to organise what we hope will become regular music events there. To this end we're starting with a new MONTHLY ACOUSTIC NIGHT, which will run on 1st Wednesdays of the month from this autumn onwards. Hosted by resident act KEV BUXTON, our first two sessions in September and October were a great success and we look forward to our next night there on Wednesday 1st November when our featured guests will be popular local irish band SWEET MOLLY and excellent singer-songwriter, ANDY GRIFFITHS. There will also of course be open mic slots but please do get there early if you'd like to play. It's a 7.30 start with free admission, and there is a bar and food. We're hoping to make it one of the best acoustic nights in the area!

The Rooftop Arts Centre is at Chisholm House, 9 Queens Square, Corby NN17 1PD, upstairs by Flowertime near the multi-storey car park.
