Kev is a respected acoustic roots musician and promoter based in Northamptonshire. He started performing in the 1970s around the folk clubs of North-West England, later becoming involved in numerous musical / theatrical projects in Nottingham and then London, where he developed a reputation as an original and distinctive singer-songwriter. Since relocating to the East Midlands in 2001, he has become well-known as an acoustic musician of quality, as well as a notable promoter, founding in 2005 the highly regarded Kontra Roots Promotions. With over 40 years of experience, Kev has released several highly praised albums and been fortunate enough to share the stage with some wonderful musicians along the way, including Bert Jansch, Paul Lamb, The Pretty Things, The Zombies, Wishbone Ash and many others. As well as continuing to perform solo, Kev is also a founder member of excellent Northants five piece acoustic roots band, The Rants.
